Downtown - Retail Strategy

The City of New Westminster is developing a city-wide retail strategy, and are currently collecting input from our Downtown retail business community.  Sharing your business experience is an important part of developing the strategy, and will help us identify how to best support the local retail sector now and in the future.

The survey will be open until January 31, 2023.

5) Have you always been at this location? Why did you pick New West as a location?

6) Tell us about the tenure of the retail space. Do you lease or own the space?

7) How has the area around your location changed since you first opened? Are these positive or negative in your view?

8) What are some of your biggest challenges or costs related to your business operations? What is your business' outlook on the next 2-5 years?

9) Tell us about your customers - do you serve any specific groups of people?

10) Do you identfy with belonging to any of these groups? IS so, please tell us.

11) What did you wish you had known or had support on before starting this business?

12) What is unique about Downtown that you can't find elsewhere in New West?

13) In your view, what are the biggest challenges facing businesses in the area? What would you propose is the solution?
