Arts Strategy Update: Priority Setting Workshops

Arts Strategy Update: Priority Setting Workshops

The City of New Westminster is updating its Arts Strategy to guide arts investment, partnerships, and decision‑making in the coming years. As part of this process, the City is hosting a series of priority-setting workshops focused on findings from Phase 1 of the Arts Strategy Update.

These sessions are facilitated, small‑group discussions taking place on-line or in-person at locations throughout New Westminster. Participants will be invited to share perspective to:

  • Determine where City support is most needed
  • Identify key priorities related to sector capacity, facilities, partnerships, and funding

Input from this phase will inform a future engagement round that will focus on reviewing elements of the draft Arts Strategy, both online and in person.

Who Can Participate

The workshops are open to anyone interested in the future of arts and culture in New Westminster, including:

  • Artists and creators
  • Arts and cultural organisations and collectives
  • Arts workers, administrators, and producers
  • Community members, including those who participate in or support the arts
