Knotweed Control Incentive Program

Currently the only known method of controlling knotweed is through herbicide treatment by a licensed contractor. The City is offering a rebate of 50% of cost up to a total of $400 to landowners who conduct knotweed control using herbicides on their private land.

If signing on behalf of the landowner (i.e. you are a leasee, renter or land manager), your signature indicates that you have received permission from the landowner to apply and participate in the program.
Eligibility for the program is contingent upon completion of application form, and is subject to funding availability. The completion of this form does not guarantee funding. Funds are limited each year. The City of Rossland reserves the right to enter said lands and inspect the work to verify its accuracy and completeness. The City shall not be involved in laying out treatment areas, selecting a contractor, selecting herbicide, applying herbicide or other matters of operational nature. The landowner/occupier is solely responsible for all work completed.
