The City of Nanaimo is collaborating with Urban Design Roster artist Sebastian Abboud to create a vibrant new asphalt artwork at the Machleary Street and Campbell Street intersection. This temporary public art project is intended to celebrate the character of the Old City neighbourhood and be inspired by stories, colours, and themes shared by local residents. Once installed, the artwork will enhance the streetscape, promote pedestrian safety, and add a creative splash to this historic community hub.
