North Cowichan Master Transportation Plan

Help us plan how we will move now and in the future!

The District of North Cowichan is undertaking a Master Transportation Plan to assess current network conditions, plan for the future, and improve transportation options across our communities. Our efforts will occur in parallel with the Official Community Plan (OCP) update process, creating unique opportunities to thoroughly explore transportation topics within the broader context of North Cowichan’s growth and development.

The Plan will set the foundation for developing well-connected, safe transportation networks that are convenient, tailored to local needs and accessible for people of all ages and abilities. The Plan will be complementary to the goals and objectives outlined in the updated OCP, in particular as it relates to the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in North Cowichan.

This initial survey will guide our subsequent work and provide a snapshot of transportation conditions and needs in North Cowichan today.

Your participation is crucial for us to better understand the following topic areas as we embark on this project:
  • Existing transportation network conditions
  • Barriers that exist in the current network
  • The “big picture” for transportation
Thank you for your time and participation, the survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete. Let's get started!
