The Future of Competition Policy in Canada

The consultation on the Future of Competition Policy in Canada is open to all Canadian individuals and organizations. It constitutes the primary means of participating in the Government of Canada's consultation on competition law and policy. The feedback received will help inform potential changes to the Competition Act.

Responses to most questions are optional by design, providing you with the flexibility to select key questions and focus your time in the areas of your greatest interest or expertise. The consultation period will be open for feedback until March 31, 2023.

This format is being used in order to facilitate transparency and the widest possible participation from Canadians, while ensuring compliance with the government's obligations under the Accessible Canada Act. All responses submitted by individuals will be reported in aggregate only; responses submitted on behalf of an organization or as expert opinion will be published and attributed to the participant(s) in an accessible format. Please note that submissions received in another format will not form part of the official consultation record, although they may be reviewed by departmental officials.

We thank you in advance for your important contribution. If you encounter any difficulties with the consultation questionnaire or require accommodation, please contact Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada's Public Opinion Research team.
