Sign up for Ag Adventures at The Pencil Patch in Abbotsford (1786 Angus Campbell Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2E2)Ag Adventures provide opportunities for students in K-12 classrooms to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and get their hands dirty in the soil - all while learning about BC’s agriculture and food story!   At The Pencil Patch, students will learn about food production - how the garden grows food and gets that food to people - the community - so they can enjoy fresh, locally grown produce.

Planting tours: Help us set up the Pencil Patch garden for the year. 4 Learning Stations: Provide fun and interactive BC agriculture subjects such as soil, planting, water and seeds. Get your hands dirty, learn how to plant vegetables and flowers, and watch spring bloom.

12 Learning Stations: Ag Adventures are 90–120-minute tours providing education on BC agriculture subjects including soil, pollinators, water preservation, invasive species, greenhouses, crop rotation, the importance of wetlands, dairy, and more. Bring your classroom to our outdoor classrooms filled with nature’s surprises and delights!



Notes:

  1. This form is for registration for spring tours for public, independent, and First Nations schools only. Home learners can visit www.bcaitc.ca for a separate tour registration form.
  2. There must be a minimum of 30 students to book a visit; we suggest you bring your buddy class or another class to share the transportation costs. There is a maximum of 60 students per visit. If you have less than 30 students we may pair your school with another school to reach the 30 students minimum.
  3. Please note that all tours are offered in English.
  4. Classrooms will be required to sign a media release upon confirmation of booking.
