 “Who is My Peer”? Considering Radiation Oncology, Physics and Therapy Plan Review in The Emerging Era of AI and Automation

Objectives: By the end of this session, the participants will be able to:

  • Review current QA activities that contribute to plan quality and draw attention to recent provincial, national, and international guidelines.
  • Recognize the necessity of interdisciplinary treatment plan and peer review and the changing roles with emerging technologies, such as adaptive radiotherapy, automation (such as auto-contouring and auto-planning) and the introduction of machine learning/AI tools.
  • Discuss models of interdisciplinary plan review and communication to increase efficiency and improve quality of the process.
