The purpose of the JAMMI Trainee Published Manuscript Award is to promote scholarship amongst infectious disease and/or medical microbiology trainees. It is awarded for excellence in scholarship as demonstrated by the publication of a scientific article in JAMMI (Journal of the Association of Medcial Microbiology and Infectious Disease Canada). Application Requirements
Exclusions: Applicants to the the JAMMI Trainee Published Manuscript Award are NOT permitted to apply for the AMMI Canada Trainee Research Award OR the Juan A Embil Trainee Award for Excellence in Infectious Diseases Research. Review and Selection Process All applications will be reviewed by the AMMI Canada Council. Criteria that will be considered include, but are not limited to, quality of the publication and contributions to the research project as outlined in the letters of support. Nominators and winners will be notified of the Council’s decision by early March 2023. One award will be granted per year. If no nominations are received, or meet the criteria, no award will be granted for the year. Announcement of the Award The 2022 AMMI Canada Trainee Research Award will be presented at the 2023 AMMI Canada – CACMID Annual Conference.
