Eckler's 2026 Compensation eplanning survey

Each year, our compensation planning survey provides organizations with critical insights into emerging trends and best practices in pay management. Designed to support informed decision making, this brief survey offers a snapshot of how Canadian organizations are navigating today’s evolving economic landscape and shaping their compensation strategies for the year ahead.

Survey topics

The Eckler Compensation eplanning survey gathers insights on key topics, including:

• Current and projected budgets for base salary increases and adjustments to salary range structures (non-unionized employees)
• Compensation administration practices, such as pay philosophy, promotional increases, and employee turnover
• Emerging trends in pay transparency, artificial intelligence and total rewards, as well as workplace policy and top priorities for 2026

Survey results
Participants who complete the entire survey by the deadline of Monday, August 25th, will receive a complimentary report featuring detailed results and valuable insights.

Survey participation
We invite those responsible for compensation planning at their organizations to participate in this survey. Please submit only one response per organization. If another colleague within your organization is better suited to complete this, please forward theh survey link to them.

The survey will close on Monday, August 25th 2025.

Data confidentiality & protection
We understand the sensitivity of your organization’s salary budget and compensation data and will keep all submitted information strictly confidential. Only anonymized and aggregated results will be shared. Strong data privacy and security measures are in place to prevent the disclosure of your organization’s practices. We will not sell, exchange, or reveal company-specific data to third parties.  Upon your approval at the end of this survey, we may include your organization’s name in a list of survey participants.

Privacy of your information
We respect your privacy and are dedicated to protecting it. We will only use your email address to contact you about your survey participation, such as verifying data you submit, notifying you of survey results, and discussing other surveys and services. We will not sell, exchange, or share your personal information with third parties.
